Background: The mere mention of Shiro’s surname is enough to intimidate most people into submission. After all, you cant come to Japan not knowing the name of the most famous Daimyo in Japan. Shiro is a member of one of the Tokugawa Branch families, however, he is so far down the family line that the chances of becoming Daimyo are next to nil. Rather than pursue a life in politics and royalty, he chose a more adventurous life by way of the sword. He shed his glamorous robes, and moved away from the riches.

For a while, he lived as he wanted. With an alias, he had absolutely no connection to political greatness, and he was able to build a reputation completely on his own, becoming a samurai of great repute. Within 2 years, his name was among the top hands for hire. Eventually, the royal family tracked him down, and hired him as a bodyguard. It wasn’t until a family dinner with the branch families that he was recognized.

With that, his fame shot to stardom (much to his dismay). After a while he left the position as Royal guard to continue pursuing his passion. He started a family, settled with a beautiful (though extremely talkative) wife, and had 2 kids. (they say his wife's mouth makes up for all the talking her husband doesnt do)

5 years later, his life has become better than ever. By day, he leads a quiet life, punctuated by daily sparring with samurais who make the pilgrimage to fight. At night, he works for Bisa, collecting cash and property in accordance to the debts records. Because of his reputation, sending him to scare targets is far more common and customer friendly than having him actually use his sword.

When Shiro fights, he takes full advantage of his sheath in speeding up the swing of his sword. With standard weapons, he has few rivals in sword speed, with his custom made Quickdraw Series weapons, few would dispute his nickname ‘Hand of the Lightning God’

He is usually deathly efficient in most combat situations. In the case of someone he sees as equal, or possibly greater in either skill, ability, or spirituality, he will take his time and learn what he can from his opponent. He is renowned for his speed and accuracy (it is rumored that he is fast and skilled enough to cut bullets)

Additional facts:

- Likes making money, but is stingy with it. He makes money fighting, but it is the sword that is his true passion. He will usually fight for whoever offers more money, because he sends it straight to his family.
- Man of simple tastes. His extravagant look is courtesy of his sponsors, in reality, he is perfectly fine with plain clothes and simple food to eat.
- Man of few words. His wife rarely shuts up (some say she makes up for all the words her husband doesnt say). He loves his kids, but has a hard time playing with them. He does his best teaching them though.

-he has two sons and a daughter. all of them aspire to become his students and learn the way of the sword.
